Job Description

Job Title: Equipment Maintenance Technician. Job Location: Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, India

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the installation and qualification of manufacturing equipment;
• Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day equipment and manufacturing process issues;
• Perform timely maintenance and repair to ensure optimal equipment operation.
• Identify and implement improvements to enhance throughput, yield, and product performance.
• Support and train production associates and technicians in technical skills.
• Collect and analyze data related to equipment and product performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and good housekeeping standards.
• Develop and update documentation, including SOPs, drawings, and process specifications.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED (minimum);
• Experience: Must meet one of the following;
  • Associate degree in a technical field.
  • Two+ years of experience in machine maintenance or mechanics.
  • One year of technical experience at First Solar.
  • Six months as Associate EMT at First Solar with high proficiency ratings.
• Verifiable knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting processes.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Self-directed and capable of working with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally and 27 pounds frequently;
• Will sit, stand, or walk short distances for up to 12 hours daily;
• Must comply with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, including respirator usage.
