Job Description
Job Title: Transmission Manager – Austin, United States. Join a team driving the future of green energy by managing interconnection processes & engineering evaluations for utility-scale wind, solar, & storage projects. This role involves working with utilities, contractors, & internal teams to ensure efficient project execution.
Responsibilities:
- Manage interconnection processes & transmission evaluation for renewable projects within RTO/ISO regions.
- Support Engineering & Construction teams with interconnection costs, schedules, & feasibility analyses;
- Oversee interconnection relationships & develop market awareness from project development to operations.
- Assist M&A & greenfield development efforts, including congestion risk assessment & transmission strategies.
- Provide consulting expertise to Finance teams on portfolio assessments & divestments.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Mid-level experience in generator interconnection or transmission system operations.
- Prior experience with utilities in ERCOT/MISO/WECC regions;
- Understanding of FERC, NERC, & RTO processes, including energy markets.
- Proficiency in Powerflow software (PSS/E, Power World, PSLF, etc.).
- Strong communication skills & ability to influence stakeholders;
