Job Title: Senior Principal Engineer, Water Market Leader (Mining). Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Join Geosyntec’s team to shape a more sustainable future! We are looking for a Senior Principal Engineer specializing in water management for the mining industry. This leadership role will focus on advancing water and wastewater engineering practices while expanding our presence in the water for mining market.

Responsibilities:

• Develop & implement market strategies for water supply, treatment, reuse, & discharge in the mining sector.
• Lead client engagement efforts to align Geosyntec’s expertise with industry demands.
• Serve as a project director for high-profile or high-risk projects, ensuring quality & client satisfaction.
• Recruit, manage, & mentor a team of engineers & scientists, fostering career development.
• Prepare & oversee proposals, technical reports, and presentations for stakeholders.
• Actively participate in professional events & contribute to industry leadership.
• Manage interdisciplinary project teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, chemical, or environmental). Advanced degree preferred.
• Experience: 15+ years in consulting, including water supply, treatment, & reuse projects.
• Licensure: Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification required.
• Strong leadership, business development, & client management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of federal & provincial regulations related to water management.
• Excellent oral & written communication skills.
