Job Description
Job Title: Well Integrity Engineer (Cheshire, Northwich, England). As a Well Integrity Engineer at the Storengy UK Stublach Gas Storage Facility, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the Well Integrity Management System (WIMS) and ensuring safe well operations, protecting personnel, equipment, and the environment.
Responsibilities:
- Safety & Reporting: Report incidents and raise proactive observations to reduce risks.
- Process Safety: Drive continuous improvements in Process Safety across the facility.
- Technical Leadership: Act as a Technical Lead for well operations, ensuring compliance with ALARP principles.
- Regulatory Interaction: Represent Storengy UK on Well Integrity matters with UK Regulators.
- WIMS Management: Develop and manage the Well Integrity Management System following best practice standards (NORSOK, API, OGUK, ISO).
- Performance Monitoring: Define and track well integrity performance metrics.
- Maintenance Planning: Plan and coordinate well-related maintenance and inspections.
- Contracting & Supervision: Develop contracting strategies, oversee contractor selection, and monitor performance.
- Documentation Control: Ensure compliance with all well integrity procedures and update necessary technical documents.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Petroleum Engineering (required).
- Certifications: IWCF Level 4 (preferred); NEBOSH General Certificate (preferred).
- Experience: 2+ years in the oil and gas or process industries, ideally in well integrity or mechanical integrity roles.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel, experience with CMMS (Maximo) & document management systems.
- Other Skills: Attention to detail, ability to coordinate across teams, self-motivated, strong analytical abilities.
