Job Description

Job Title: Wind Technician II - Rankin, TX, USA. As a Wind Technician II, you'll inspect, troubleshoot, install, and repair wind turbines and their components. You'll lead maintenance efforts, mentor junior technicians, and ensure timely return of turbines to service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Install, test, and troubleshoot minor components; assist with major components.
• Execute current and voltage calculations as needed.
• Maintain detailed reports and documentation of maintenance and repairs.
• Follow Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures and job-specific safety documentation.

Who You Are:

• Skills: Competent with low- and medium-voltage equipment, physical stamina for climbing turbines (100+ meters) and working at heights.
• Requirements: Ability to travel up to 25%, respond to emergencies 24/7, work in varying weather conditions, and operate motor vehicles with a clean driving record.
• Physical Requirements: Comfortable working in confined spaces, lifting up to 50 lbs., and wearing PPE for extended periods.
• Experience: 2+ years in wind energy or an A.S. Degree (electrical or technical) with 1+ years of related experience.
• Skills: Proficiency with electrical test equipment, electrical theory, Microsoft Office, SQL Server, and computerized diagnostic tools.
• Knowledge: Familiar with wind farm operations, maintenance equipment, and electronic testing tools.
