Job Description

Job Title: Wind Technician II – Allen, NE

Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, & electrical wind turbine systems.
• Troubleshoot, repair, & replace turbine components to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct voltage & current calculations, as well as electrical testing;
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, & completed maintenance.
• Follow safety procedures, including Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO) & Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
• Mentor junior technicians & support team development;
• Assist with crane & rigging operations as needed.
• Respond to emergency repairs & site maintenance requirements.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in wind energy or an A.S. degree in electrical/technical fields with 1+ year of experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical theory, troubleshooting, & testing equipment (e.g., voltage testers, torque equipment).
• Ability to work at heights (300+ feet), in confined spaces, & in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record;
• Willingness to travel up to 25% & work flexible hours, including weekends & holidays;
• Physical ability to climb turbine towers (100+ meters), lift 50 lbs. regularly, & wear safety PPE.
