Job Description
Job Title: Wind Turbine Technician I. Location: Tiverton, Ontario
Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled maintenance, fault analysis, troubleshooting, and repairs on wind turbines.
- Conduct main component replacements, including blades and other essential parts.
- Work at heights and in confined spaces while adhering to safety protocols.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for weekends and after-hours emergencies.
- Collaborate in teams of 2-3 technicians, typically climbing 1-2 turbines daily.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical work, or a wind technician certification.
- GWO certifications (Basic Safety Training, Basic Technical Training, Advanced Rescue Training) are highly preferred.
- Agricultural or transferable technical experience is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a safety-first mindset.
