Job Description
As Manager on the Environmental Compliance & Strategy (ECS) team at Invenergy, you will oversee federal and state environmental permitting and compliance strategies for Phase 2 of the Grain Belt Express Transmission Project in Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana.
Responsibilities:
- Advise ECS Project Director on environmental compliance strategy and risk management.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to minimize environmental impacts.
- Manage environmental consultants and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Lead agency meetings and maintain project records for regulatory compliance.
- Develop and enforce project-specific control documents and protocols.
- Support responses to environmental inquiries for project contracting and financing.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in natural resources, environmental science, or related field.
- Project management experience in environmental planning for large-scale infrastructure projects.
- 5+ years in linear infrastructure with similar responsibilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret environmental data and identify project risks.
- Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
- Experience managing environmental compliance in Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana.
- Proficiency in ArcGIS Online and Google Earth for spatial data interpretation.
