Finance Director, Asia Onshore

Job Description

Supervise the Finance function for Strategy & Planning, Financial Reporting & Analysis, Budgeting & Forecasting, and Risk Management. Deliver substantial and complex sustainable energy infrastructure projects as a key member of the APAC Finance leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and mentor a team of finance professionals across different locations, fostering a collaborative and efficient culture.
  • Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies, ensuring adherence to policies in collaboration with legal and compliance teams.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including regional leaders, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Monitor and report financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend corrective actions. Develop subregional monthly Performance Reviews.
  • Oversee monthly financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Ensure timely completion of all audits and statutory accounts.
  • Develop the budgeting and forecasting process for the subregional area. Collaborate with stakeholders to set financial targets and track performance. Evaluate investment proposals.
  • Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights to policy makers and leadership peers.
  • Influence and implement financial strategies aligned with business targets.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance experience, including leadership roles.
  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Experience in project-oriented organizations; infrastructure and energy sectors are a bonus.
  • Full understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
  • Solid experience working in a matrix organization.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Mandarin, Japanese, or Korean is desirable.
