Ecology Manager

Job Description

Job Title: Ecology Manager. Location: Berlin, Germany

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage documentation for approval processes and coordinate with relevant authorities.
• Commission & oversee external consultants and planning offices to develop necessary reports.
• Organize and facilitate meetings with authorities & consultants, addressing any follow-up requirements.
• Communicate regulatory requirements & coordinate timely submission of project-related information.
• Monitor project timelines and budgets, assess risks & opportunities, and ensure knowledge sharing across the organization.

Qualifications:

• Several years of experience in planning and permitting for construction projects, ideally in renewable energy (e.g., wind energy).
• A degree in Environmental Planning, Conservation, Marine Biology, or a related field.
• Strong communication & teamwork skills, with a high level of accountability and goal orientation.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of independent problem-solving.
• Fluency in German (preferably native) and English, with strong verbal and written skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically & internationally on occasion.
