Service Quality/HSE Specialist

Are you passionate about renewable energy and committed to creating a sustainable future? We are seeking a Permanent Term Service Quality / HSE Specialist to join our team across the UK.  

As a Service HSE / Quality Specialist, you will ensure the highest standards of HSE and Quality across our UK / IE Service Departments. You will oversee the delivery of quality products and services from both internal and external suppliers and departments to our regional service teams.

Key responsibilities:

Inspecting the quality of regular service work on various wind farms across the UK/IE region

Monitoring and auditing type 1, 2, 3, 4 services and SN/TN implementation in turbine regions, suggesting improvements to local teams and management

Overseeing erection and commissioning works within the region, identifying inconsistencies

Ensuring current work instructions are used throughout the region

Organizing local training sessions with site teams to introduce changes or improvements in turbine and service point operations

Conducting quality inspections of subcontractor and newly constructed turbine works

Performing remote quality checks of wind turbines (e.g., parameter checks, maintenance completeness, retrofit implementation)

Verifying maintenance documentation and report quality

Generating reports from quality inspections and audits

Coaching service supervisors and management on company quality processes

Attending ASM/LOM/HSE meetings to present inspection and audit findings

Conducting audits of wind farms/service points to ensure compliance with Wind Turbine Safety Rules, RAMS, vehicle standards, 5S, etc.

Organizing on-site HSE drills and assisting site teams in emergency response drill development

Developing and implementing changes to existing documentation (AWPS, RAMS, work instructions) to enhance work processes

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a technician in the wind industry or in a quality engineer role in an industrial environment

A relevant degree or qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Quality Engineering

Additionally, you should possess:

The ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, embracing challenges with a positive outlook and a commitment to excellence

Strong communication skills, including the ability to deliver training sessions

Initiative to plan and prioritize tasks independently, with a strong ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Proficiency in MS Office, in-house databases, and workload management systems

Physical fitness and the ability to work at heights up to 100m, passing a working at heights test

Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time, including overnight stays, across locations in the UK & Ireland

A valid UK driving licence
