Service Technician

Job Description

Job Title: Service Technician – Reynolds, IN. Location: Wolcott, IN, US. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe & efficient operation of wind turbine generators. This role involves performing maintenance, repairs, & system upgrades while maintaining high safety & quality standards. You’ll work closely with Site Leads & Managers to resolve technical issues & support both planned & unplanned maintenance activities.

Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance & repairs on wind turbines & related equipment.
• Support 24/7 wind farm operations, including rotating shifts, overtime, & on-call duties.
• Conduct safety assessments before & during work assignments.
• Assist in Root Cause Analyses for equipment failures;
• Maintain accurate documentation for all maintenance activities.
• Utilize safety gear & follow strict safety procedures;
• Read & interpret electrical & hydraulic schematics;
• Use computer applications, including MS Office, for reporting & documentation.
• Travel as needed for training & site support.
• Maintain required certifications & training.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Certification or degree in wind, technical, or engineering fields preferred.
• 0-1 year of experience in wind energy or related technical fields.
• Ability to work at heights above 300 feet & lift up to 50 lbs.
• Proficiency with hand & power tools;
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions & confined spaces;
• Valid driver’s license & ability to travel within 45 minutes of the wind farm in case of emergencies.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Passport for training & travel.
